Akendi are looking for a UX architect with a passion for turning validated user and customer insights into exciting experience designs. In doing so, you recognise that the best results can only be achieved by a multi-disciplinary team with members from different backgrounds either within or externally to Akendi. Demonstrable team working and excellent client facing skills are essential to this role.
Our future UX architect is self-motivated and able to work both as part of a team as well as independently. Drive, enthusiasm and flexibility to work on a variety of projects are necessary, as well as the ability to rapidly acquire new domain familiarity.
We expect you to become an ambassador for the Akendi brand and a key stakeholder in user centred UX research and design related decision-making, ensuring state of the art approaches, methods, assuring the quality of Akendi user centred research, testing, information and interaction design.
Our ideal candidate will have knowledge of current user experience trends, research, theories and methodologies (especially user-centered design), and an intuitive feel for how specific research and design activities provide unique added value throughout the product development lifecycle.
In addition to our consultancy work we also deliver public and bespoke UX training courses to international clients. We do not expect our UX architect to become directly involved in the delivery of training but an affinity with UX training and potential desire to, over time, actively contribute to our training programme is an advantage.
The job is largely based in Cambridge but will require frequent visit to the premises of our clients who are predominantly based in Cambridge and London.
Akendi offer a competitive salary plus additional benefits such as a pension, private healthcare and flexible working.
Occasionally Akendi may require the UX Architect to work at the client premises for short period of time (e.g. 2 weeks).
