Website Usability Test Setup
A dedicated observation room that can hold up to 12 observers, 55" LCD combined with the latest version of Morae software allows for normal lighting conditions and conversations during test session recordings.
Website Usability Testing Approach
Our web usability testing lab has a setup suitable for screen based testing capturing mouse movement, keyboard entry, clicks, time on task, pre and post test surveys. Cameras capture the participant’s face and provide audio feedback. For support of paper based walkthroughs we use an HD camera to record the paper mock-ups as well as a camera to record the participant’s audio/video.
We use our in-house built sled for any type of usability testing of mobile devices which enables screen capture of the participant’s actions on the mobile device and we use a separate camera to capture the participant’s audio/video.
We also support home theater, living room & TV entertainment based user experiences with a large LCD, interaction capture and audio.
This allows for testing in realistic home settings.
Akendi provides, if required, a note taker and/or facilitator for the usability testing sessions. We have, in addition to the testing lab and observation room, a note taker room to ensure accurate notes without interruptions from observers and other stakeholders during the usablity test sessions.
Our usability testing expertise helps user experience consultants and usability companies prevent frustrations in the test setup and recurring risks of bringing in their own screen capture equipment into a focus group facility.
