User Acceptance Testing
It’s one thing to know that a software user experience or web application has user acceptance issues, and quite another to validate if the business requirements
were met and exactly what needs to be done to solve design issues and ensure user uptake.
By testing how user scenarios actually are met by the behaviour of the product, Akendi diagnoses flaws in software user acceptance, and pinpoint the priority areas for user experience design innovations and improvements.
User Acceptance Test Plan
After consultation with you or based on our own research to deeply understand the key usage scenarios and user stories we will create a user acceptance test plan. This plan will include the user acceptance test criteria, test cases and overall protocol that the testing will follow. We recruit end users, arrange test facilities and run the test sessions. In line with the business requirements metrics, we record both quantitative and qualitative data and observations.
Methods that we typically use include:
- Observing users as they complete test cases using the user interface
- Recording users’ interactions with the software user interface; screen capture, mouse clicks, navigation paths and verbal think aloud feedback during the test session.
We will analyze the test results to identify root causes of user acceptance concerns with the mobile app, web portal, intranet or graphical user interface (GUI).
These will be provided in a comprehensive test report with metrics and prioritized recommendations for design improvements and go/no go advice.
