It’s one thing to know that a software product or web applications has usability issues, and quite another to know exactly what needs to be done to solve the issues.
By focusing on how users actually use the product, Akendi helps to diagnose weaknesses in software usability, and pinpoint the priority areas for improvement.
How We Do It
After consultation with you to understand your users and usage scenarios, we will create a software usability test plan and protocol that the diagnosis will follow. We then recruit end users, arrange for test facilities, coordinate test sessions, and record both quantitative and qualitative results and observations.
Methods that we typically use include:
- Structured one-on-one interviews with end-users
- Observing users as they complete tasks using the user interface
- Recording users’ interactions with the software; screen capture, mouse clicks, navigation paths and verbal feedback during the session.
We will analyze the results to identify root causes of usability issues with the graphical user interface (GUI). These will be provided in a comprehensive report with prioritized recommendations for usability design improvements.
