Senior Usability Specialist (Ottawa)
The Senior Usability specialist must be self-motivated and able to work both independently and in conjunction with team members and product groups. Drive, enthusiasm and flexibility to work on a variety of projects are necessary, as well as the ability to rapidly acquire new domain familiarity.
Responsibilities will include:
- User Needs Assessment
- Persona & Usage Scenario Research / Task analysis
- Contextual Inquiries
- Information Design / IA
- Heuristic evaluations
- Usability Testing
Education: degree in behavioral science, computer science or closely related discipline including:
- Human Factors,
- Human-Computer Interaction (Computer Science)
- Psychology (Cognitive or Experimental)
We're looking for someone that has deep knowledge of current usability research, theories and methodologies (especially user-centered design processes), and an intuitive feel for how human factors activities provide unique value added throughout the product development lifecycle.

The Senior Interaction Designer with 6+ years of experience must be self-motivated and able to work both independently and in conjunction with team members and product groups. - Wireframes

Account Executive (Toronto, Ottawa)
We're a successful User Interaction Research & Design Firm, made up of passionate and dedicated user experience experts. Our aim is to work with our clients to define an overall strategic direction and deliver best in class user experiences for their customers. We’re a growing company with a strong client service ethic and we’re looking to expand our team in Ottawa.
About the Job
As an Account Executive you'll have overall responsibility for acquiring and growing new clients. Your role will include, but not limited to: Cold Calling, Qualifying, Closing and Nurturing a list of new target accounts. In this role you'll work closely with the delivery team to ensure success with your projects. Ideally you have gained your experience in the design, marketing or digital industry and are now looking to make that move to a real strategic selling environment.
Experience required:
- A good understanding of human factors and its importance in the future of product design.
- A keen interest in usability and making the most of user insights to help improve the customer experience offered on digital channels.
- Experience in a consulting environment in Market Research, UX Design either working as an Account Exec or Account Manager managing client relationships.
- You must have worked in a project or team-based environment (natural teamplayer)
- 3+ years inside sales selling business-to-business services,
- Experience cold calling and hunting for new business
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Outgoing, extroverted and a strong people person
- Driven to exceed goals and targets
